Aperol Spritz: A Refreshing Summer Cocktail
Course Drinks
Cuisine Italian
- Ice Cubes
- 3 ounces Prosecco (or other dry sparkling wine)
- 2 ounces Aperol
- 1 ounce Club Soda
- Orange Slice (for garnish)
Fill a large wine glass or spritz glass with ice cubes. The chilled glass is key to maintaining the balance of flavors.
Pour in Aperol, followed by the Prosecco. The classic ratio is 3:2 but feel free to adjust it to taste.
Top it all off with a splash of club soda. This adds a nice effervescence and cuts the sweetness of the Aperol and the Prosecco.
Give it a gentle stir to combine the ingredients without losing the bubbles.
Garnish with a bright orange slice for the perfect presentation and a citrusy aroma.
Tips:Â
- Chilled ingredients will give the best results. You can even pre-chill your glass by filling it with ice and water a few minutes before using it.Â
- You can use a splash of blood orange soda instead of club soda for a sweeter spritz.Â
- Aperol has a slightly bitter taste. If you prefer a sweeter drink, experiment with ratios or add a dash of simple syrup.
