Aperol Spritz Cocktail

Aperol Spritz: A Refreshing Summer Cocktail

Course Drinks
Cuisine Italian
Servings 1 Serving

Ingredients

  • Ice Cubes
  • 3 ounces Prosecco (or other dry sparkling wine)
  • 2 ounces Aperol
  • 1 ounce Club Soda
  • Orange Slice (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Fill a large wine glass or spritz glass with ice cubes. The chilled glass is key to maintaining the balance of flavors.
  • Pour in Aperol, followed by the Prosecco. The classic ratio is 3:2 but feel free to adjust it to taste.
  • Top it all off with a splash of club soda. This adds a nice effervescence and cuts the sweetness of the Aperol and the Prosecco.
  • Give it a gentle stir to combine the ingredients without losing the bubbles.
  • Garnish with a bright orange slice for the perfect presentation and a citrusy aroma.

Notes

Tips:
  • Chilled ingredients will give the best results. You can even pre-chill your glass by filling it with ice and water a few minutes before using it.
  • You can use a splash of blood orange soda instead of club soda for a sweeter spritz.
  • Aperol has a slightly bitter taste. If you prefer a sweeter drink, experiment with ratios or add a dash of simple syrup.
