Skinny Strawberry Mojito Recipe

Spring is around the corner, and nothing reminds me of a day filled with the sun like a strawberry mojito. if you are a fan of the classic Cuban mojito’s then you’re going to love this fun variation. Strawberry mojitos are simple to make and taste like you’re on vacation. There are several ways you can enjoy this drink, but there are a few simple ingredients that make this a mojito.

This ingredients includes Cuban rum, sugar, lime juice, and soda water. There are some places that will use rum, simple syrup, lime juice, and lemon-lime soda like a sprite. All in all, they all still taste amazing but the first option is going to be more traditional. Either way, we are talking strawberry mojito’s today which is anything but classic, so why not have some fun with it. For my perfect strawberry. mojito, I like to use Dragonberry Bacardi, fresh strawberries, Splenda, and mineral soda water. I prefer a skinny option because it feels more guilt-free and there is still added sweetness from the strawberry!

If you are in a pinch for time or do not have a muddler on hand, feel free to use a strawberry puree with sugar and lime juice.

Although, since I prefer a fresh strawberry, you’ll need a few extra tools like a barspoon, and a muddler.

The Steps for a Skinny Strawberry Mojito

In a cup or shaker tin, add one or two fresh strawberries. Then muddle with a bar spoon of lime juice, a few mint sprigs, and a bar spoon of Splenda. This is to taste, but I prefer equal parts since I don’t mind a bit of tartness from the citrus. Then you’ll add 2 oz of Dragon berry Bacardi. If you haven’t had Dragon Berry flavored Bacardi before, it tastes like a juicy strawberry. It’s so delicious. After you add these ingredients together, you’ll want to shake with ice. This will really mix the Splenda well with the other ingredients. Shaking vigorously will also break apart the mint. In a separate glass with new fresh ice, add your ingredients from your shaker. Lastly, top the rest off with mineral water. I prefer San Pelligrino for a lighter bubble experience but any soda water will do.

And that’s it. A sweet, springtime strawberry mojito that tastes like a vacation!
