Aloha from Queen Kapi’olani Hotel

Aloha friends! Today, we are going to be exploring the beautiful Queen Kapi’olani Hotel located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is my first time visiting Hawaii, so I am so excited to share this amazing hotel just steps away from Waikiki Beach. Not only is it a short walk to dining options and other popular attractions, but the Queen Kapi’olani Hotel also offers a stunning panoramic view of Diamond Head, a volcanic cone that is a popular hiking destination. If you are planning on enjoying the amenities offered by the hotel, you’ll love the Pool! Their pool is located on a sun deck offering stunning views of Diamond head and is next to the DECK rooftop restaurant. Tip: Book in advance as we noticed that prices rose during the summer seasons.

THE ROOM

As soon as I walked into our ‘Ocean View’ room with a balcony, we were greeted with a window leading to the panoramic view of the Diamond Head and the Pacific Ocean.
Each room is complete with a modern and minimalistic approach to tropical beach decor. Our room also had a 49″ smart LG TV which cast perfectly from our smartphones. And of course, our private lanai aka our balcony. If comfort is a priority for you, Queen Kapi’olani’s mattresses are Serta Dream Mattresses and we slept like babies all through the night. What a dream for an amazing price! Our bathroom isn’t much to show but the hotel offered Hawaiian Tropics bathroom amenities that smelled delish!

THE AMENTIES

Inside our room, Queen Kapi’olani provided two water bottles to be filled up at various water stations you’ll find throughout Waikiki beach. The easiest water station to locate at the hotel is near the bathrooms on the main lobby floors near the activity’s reservation desk. Don’t forget to pack these water bottles with you for free refills! With the number of outdoor activities surrounding the area, you’ll want to stay hydrated!

If you’re looking for a relaxing day on the beach, head to the front desk for complimentary beach towels to borrow while you explore. They also lent us some beach toys and floaties they had available. This came in handy especially since the beach has a few sharp rocks on the ocean floor. We just floated on by!

DECK Restaurant

Enjoy views, cocktails, and eats all from DECK, a colorful bar, and restaurant located on the Queen Kapiolani Hotel site. Please trust me when I say that the DECK has the best craft cocktails you’ll find on Waikiki Beach. After exploring other hotel bars, the DECK hands down offers the best views and late-night vibes. The bartenders are also top-notch are super friendly, shout outs to them for their awesome customer service! They made us feel at home and may have even given us thoughts of moving to Honolulu one day! ?

At the DECK, you’ll find local and fresh ingredients but also familiar bites to the mainland. Some of the Brunch items are some of the best breakfast foods we’ve ever had. We tried their french toast, their avocado toast, the Tokyo-style fluffy pancakes, and the Japanese beef curry. Each of these dishes was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint!

I can’t start my day without a warm cup of coffee! I love that Knots Coffee is located inside of the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. It’s honestly so nice to have an amazing local coffee shop right in the lobby. How convenient before starting your day adventures?!
